It is believed by some that water has healing powers, and will even absorb your emotional and physical pain. I uncover some of the science behind healing chakra baths and explain how to create your very own healing bath at home.

If you are feeling stressed, frustrated, upset or anxious take some time to clear your mind and be present in that moment. Take a step back and trust the timing of your life.

‘There are lots of stones in the river, but the water always flows’.

To prepare your healing bath:

1. Run a warm bath

2. Add fresh mint and basil leaves

3. Add one cup of Himalayan or Epsom salts

4. Cover your body in essential oils according to the chakra you wish to work on (see below)

5. Light incense sticks or candles and play some calming music if it helps you to relax

6. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes

7. Cover your eyes with a warm flannel if you wish

8. Focus on your breathing in the bath, if your mind wonders come back to your breathing. Focusing on abdominal/diaphragm breathing (not the upper ribs and shoulders)
